Kesara Sumanasekara

Kesara Sumanasekara is a current undergraduate junior in chemical engineering with a concentration in material science. He will be working under the supervision of Dr. Alan Allgeier and Prathusha Kothinti and will be working on research in Process Technology and Products in Corn Oil, such as developing efficient and alternative mechanisms in converting ethanols to aldehydes. He also works as a Special Projects Assistant for the Chemical Engineering Department and a Peer Tutor for the Wingspan Center in KU. During his free time, he likes to plan and go out with friends, capture amazing photos and work out.
