Biography —
While participating in the REU program, Josephine was a rising junior studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Oklahoma. She worked jointly with Dr. Gehrke and Dr. Allgeier, in collaboration with Murilo Toledo Suekuni, on a project involving characterizing high molecular weight poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate hydrogel porosity using time-domain NMR relaxometry. At OU, she was part of The Oklahoma Group, a student-run nonprofit consulting organization, and The Big Event, the largest community service organization on campus. Josephine is also fluent in Romanian, and enjoys ballroom dancing and playing piano in her free time.
