Alvaro Pallais

Alvaro is a current Chemical Engineering undergraduate student at the University of Kansas. He will be participating as an undergraduate researcher in the Catalysis and Reaction Engineering group of Dr. Allgeier's research team. In the Allgeier lab, Alvaro would be exploring the hydrodeoxygenation of biomass-derived furan carboxylic acids and the effect of metals and supports on the creation of bimetallic catalysts for these reactions. In his time outside of lab, Alvaro enjoys running, cooking, and going out to eat with friends and family.
