Summary

Juan Alega is currently a freshman pursuing a degree in chemical engineering with a biomedical emphasis. In Dr. Allgeier’s research lab, he is working with Simon Velasquez Morales to research the applications of continuous flow processing in pharmaceuticals. He is focusing on the synthesis of dibenzylamine from benzyl bromide and benzylamines. On campus, Juan is a member of both the Self Engineering Leadership Fellows Program and the KU Honors Program. He is also involved in the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE) and the ChemE Car Team. During his free time, Juan enjoys playing sports and spending time with his friends.
